“If you
want to get a jump on homeschooling with your
preschoolers, this one-to two-year program
provides a nice balance of academic and
informal learning. Written by a homeschooling
mom, it is a practical curriculum for those
with some dedicated time to devote to teaching
their preschoolers. Parents who want to
do a structured preschool with their children
should be very pleased with Bright
Beginnings!”

"Kindergarten is
the grade I taught and so I recognize that you
have done an excellent job of putting together
a curriculum that is not only fun, but
educationally sound as well... I can see
you have put a lot of love into it."
-Sandra L. Gogel, Co-director of the Sycamore

"Being familiar
with the curriculum development process, I can
appreciate the wealth of information as well
as the love and care that went into preparing
the lessons in Bright Beginnings...they are a
gold mine! The curriculum is easy to
follow, which makes it great for people who
have never taught before. If I should
ever go back into the preschool classroom, I
will definitely be using this curriculum!"
-Cindy Ervien, former preschool teacher and
graduate of the masters level Curriculum
Development program at the University of
Washington

"Thanks for
sending us a review copy of your book, Bright
Beginnings. I absolutely love it
and you will have my personal recommendation
when I talk with new home
schoolers. Years ago I used
{another preschool program} with all three of
my children. Although it was worth every
minute I put into it..... I had to put WAY TOO
MANY of the those minutes
in! Your title looks like
something I would have dreamed of 13 years
ago."

"If you desire a
comprehensive preschool curriculum based on
Christian principles, look no further.
Tammy Shaw has interwoven character training
and Bible knowledge with heavy doses of
real-life learning experiences and
open-ended art and science
projects. The only materials needed are
a Bible, common household items and optional
library books (which I highly recommend to
enhance and reinforce the lessons) The
144 lessons can be completed using various
schedules and may begin at any time of the
year. Included are 33 fun worksheets an
A-Z flashcards. Letters, shapes,
numbers, colors, gross and fine motor
coordination skills, listening, visual
discrimination, and classifying skills are
creatively taught in a fun-loving, motivating
way. The Bible lessons proceed
chronologically and contain an additional
hands-on activity and a prayer focus to
complete the lesson. When teaching this
program to a group of five young neighborhood
children, ages 4-5, I discovered this is not
only effective for homeschools, but also for
small groups, day care centers, and Bible
classes. This program leaves children
begging for more and looking forward to the
next school day! What more can you ask
for? Requires little teacher preparation
time. Highly user-friendly."

I wanted to
tell you that I love the Bright Beginnings
curriculum. My 4 year old is enjoying
all of the hands on activities and I like
this style of teaching (not too dry).
I'm wondering if there are similar curricula
for a 9 year old? Any info you can
give will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I wish I had
Bright Beginnings when my children were
preschoolers! I am a home schooling
mother of six, whose oldest, completely home
schooled, graduated last year from high
school. I have a masters degree in
school psychology and am familiar with many
home school curricula. Tammy Shaw has
put together an incredible amount of
information, ideas, and instruction in order
for you to easily teach your preschooler in
nine subject areas. You won't have to
get a different book for each subject the
way I had to when I taught my
preschoolers. Tammy gives daily lesson
plans that are very easy to follow.
She lists everything that you need each day
to teach your child. Her instructions
are thorough and simple to understand - I
would think that your teenager could very
easily teach your preschooler with these
books! I appreciate Tammy's emphasis
on teaching the Bible to your child by
reading age appropriate amounts of
scripture, using a prayer focus and
including a memory verse. Tammy has
selected a variety of activities and ways of
teaching the subjects so that you are not
doing the same things every day with your
child. I HIGHLY recommend Bright
Beginnings. I'm counting on my
children using this curriculum with my
grandchildren!

I have
received Bright Beginnings and have been
pouring over the pages. I am very,
very impressed! First of all, this is
the most impressive preschool curriculum
that I have come across. When you say
"complete", that is exactly what it
is. It lives up to all of the
descriptions that I read about it. I
cannot even begin to imagine the amount of
time it took to put this together and I am
thankful that you decided to publish it for
others to benefit from.
